From the owners of Château Montrose, the 2014 Tronquoy Lalande is a beautifully ripe, pure, nicely concentrated, and classic wine from this estate that literally screams “Saint-Estèphe” in its dark currant.
From the owners of Château Montrose, the 2014 Tronquoy Lalande is a beautifully ripe, pure, nicely concentrated, and classic wine from this estate that literally screams “Saint-Estèphe” in its dark currant and cassis fruits and notes of damp earth, tobacco, and underbrush. With a medium-bodied, reserved feel on the palate, it certainly has the 2014 vintage’s elegant, balanced style, as well as nicely integrated acidity and polished tannin. It doesn’t have the wow factor of the 2015 and 2016, but is a beautiful wine none the less that should blossom with 3-4 years of bottle age and keep for a decade or more.
